- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I just wanted to thank the Hingham Police Department for there help earlier this morning ! On my way to Weymouth to purchase a new tire driving down North Street my tire actually exploded. As I waited for my father to come help, with my 6 year old in the back seat, the nicest police officers came to help. One unmarked police car directed me to just pull over to the side while another police officer pulled right behind me. He was awesome ! I wish I got his name. He helped me get the tire out, was so incredibly nice and waited with us until my dad arrived and put the spare on. He stood in the road making sure nothing happened to any of us, it being a very narrow road the cars were coming around the corner pretty fast. I feel so bad I don't know his name but a morning that started off so terribly he quickly turned around. Gave my son a high five and we were off! Thank you very very much! All morning my son has been gushing about the police officer who helped us!!By chelsea josselyn, December 24, 2016
